Dear Sponsors,
As most of you should aware that there is a group of youngsters who are enthusiastic in promoting bridge in Hong Kong. Amongst other promotional activities, an annual bridge camp for the beginners is one of their premier events. In the previous years, they have organized two camps for the beginners and received excellent response.
This year, a 3-day bridge camp is aimed at the intermediate players and is scheduled at 28-30 December 2004. Most of the targeted participants are either secondary school students or university students. Past experience told us that such promotional activities are effective in finding new blood for this sport.
An entry fee of HK$220 per capita is to be collected from each participant.Certainly, financial sponsorship is an encouragement, and in some cases, crucial to these young participants.
This year, I attempt to call for the support from the bridge players that I know of. My primary aim is to let the bridge community know that most of the bridge players (if not all) are eager to support the promotion of bridge in Hong Kong.
We are willing to contribute, in one form or another, in order to make such promotional activity a success. The absolute amount of contribution is not an issue. The most important thing is to let the newcomers that a lot of us do care.
Last but not the least, I would like to thank you wholeheartedly for your contribution, without which the Bridge House Youth Camp 2004 will not be a success. The following list is just to show that a lot of bridge players do support the campaign. Should you want to confirm the amount of your contribution, please feel free to contact The Treasurer of BridgeHouse, Mr. Pang Lok Tin, at his mobile phone 9327-3567.
Yours Bridgemate David CC Ng
